1529 Champ Fleury Initials was created by Gilles Le Corre and published by GLC. 1529 Champ Fleury Initials consists of 2 designs and family bundle choices. p > In 1529, Geofroy Tory, French scholar, engraver, printer, publisher and poet, was publishing the well understood so called Champ Fleury, printed by Gilles de Gourmond, in Paris. It is a completely detailed handbook where the author explains how to draw Roman characters. The font style utilized for the text - a Humane/Jenson type - was not a really beautiful one, but rough and all set, and the book is well understood for its capital letters designs.

We are using here the two complete historical type sets and more-- we have completely redrawn the lacked letters: J, U and W, Eth, Lslash, Thorn and Oslash in the 2 initial types. The text typeface, 1529 Champ Fleury Routine is now containing all characters for West European (consisting of Celtic), Baltic, East and Central European and Turkish language, and the Initial set 1529 Champ Fleury Init is consisting of two total alphabets, with an extremely great effort to be as close as possible to the original photos.
