Aaux Next Comp was created by Neil Summerour and released by Positype. Aaux Next Comp contains 18 designs and household package alternatives. p > When the initial Aaux was presented in 2002, I meant to go back and expand the family to use more flexibility. Years passed before I wanted to pick it up again and invest the appropriate time into developing a feasible and helpful recut. Just putting a new classification and tweaking a couple of glyphs occasionally would refrain from doing the designer or the typeface justice; instead, I chose to redraw each glyph's skeleton from scratch for the four primary subsets of the extremely family together with their italics. Each glyph across the very family is 'connected at the hip' with each style-each character carries the no frills, easy architecture that endeared a lot of users to it.

The brand-new recut broadens the family to a huge 72 typefaces! The initial has spawned Compressed, Condensed and Wide subsets-all with corresponding weights-for total versatility. In addition, all of the original weight versions have all been integrated within the OpenType shell: Small Caps and Old Style Figures exist in addition to brand-new tabular figures, numerators and denominators, broadened f-ligatures and a complete Central European character set.
