Designed by Mark Simonson, Acme Gothic is a sans serif and display sans font family. This typeface has twenty-five styles and was released by Mark Simonson Studio.

Acme Gothic (2018) is based on the thick and thin gothic lettering design popular in the U.S. in the very first half of the twentieth century. There have been typefaces in this genre previously, but they were either too quirky (World Gothic), too English (Britannic), too Art Deco (Koloss), too modern-day (Radiant), or too Art Nouveau (Panache). None captures the plain, workman-like design of Acme Gothic.

There are five widths (Compressed, Condensed, Typical, Wide, and Extra large) each with five weights (Light, Routine, Semibold, Vibrant, and Black) for a total of 25 different styles. Acme Gothic has extensive language assistance, covering most Latin-based composing systems. Acme Gothic likewise includes both small caps and raised small caps (accessed through an OpenType stylistic set) both of which can be discovered in classic examples of this lettering style.
