Acto is a type system developed as the sans serif equivalent of the previous launched Acta. Both type families were developed in 2010 for the redesign of the Chilean newspaper La Tercera, however unlike a few of our previous typefaces (i.e., Leitura)
Acto does not precisely match Acta in regards to structure, so they can survive on their own.
Acto is our first sans where the uppercase has the very same height as the ascenders, so we chose to avoid typical problems like the confusion in between the I and the l, by drawing a curved l. We kept that spirit by getting rid of the stimulates on the b, g and q, resulting on a more warm typeface than Prelo, for example. In the end it's an extremely powerful sans family, with eleven weights with matching italics, for editorial and corporate style.
