Designed by Vladimir Pavlikov, Ad Lib is a hand display font style published by ParaType.

The Bitstream variation of Ad Lib designed by Freeman Craw for the American Type Founders (ATF) in 1961. It is a strong Grotesque with irregular rectangle-shaped counters in round characters. This type was created by cutting the letter images out and therefore instilling some wood-cut character. A few of the lower case characters have slight inclination. Many many alternative characters were provided.

Unusual shapes make this typeface helpful for advertising and screen work. The Cyrillic version was established for ParaType in 2000 by Vladimir Pavlikov.
