Addressotype was designed by Jesse Ewing, Sam Potts and released by Midwest Type. Addressotype consists of 1 style. p > Addressotype is based on lettering from a classic advertisement for the Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation, makers of the Addressograph addressing maker. In days when the U.S. postal service delivered whatever, mailing addresses were as essential as e-mail addresses are today. The Addressograph devices stamped out dog-tag-like plates that were used to print mailing labels at high volume. Embodying the business's work principles and toughness, Addressotype remembers the gaspipe form of lettering popular in the 30s and 40s, updated to show the "enhancing" pattern popular throughout the duration.
