Adobe ® Hebrew is a serif font family. This typeface has four designs and was released by Adobe.

The Adobe Hebrew typefaces were commissioned to from Tiro Typeworks and designed by John Hudson in 2004-05. The style quick was to produce a type family that would satisfy the requirements of company communications in contemporary Hebrew. The style required to be clean and contemporary, and also to be understandable on screen in, for instance, interactive PDF forms.

The basic percentages of the letterforms are based upon those of traditional Sephardic official book hands. This design was chosen as a basis for the style to assist in screen readability, considering that the fairly low contrast of the Sephardic letters and higher differentiation of potentially mistakable letterforms are much better matched to low resolution environments than the high contrast of the Ashkenazi styles. The style is based around the dynamic balancing of sharp corners and subtle curves, following the natural stroke pattern of the Sephardic models however emphasizing angularity in transitions in between strokes.

Although most Hebrew text does not include vowels, a complete set of nikudot (vocalization mark) are provided; these are dynamically positioned utilizing OpenType glyph positioning lookups. Note that teamim (cantillation marks) for Scriptural texts are not supported by the font styles, considering that these fall outside the style short for a modern communications type family.
