Aeronic is a work of love. I came across a fantastic Japanese poster for Nikke Coat by Gihachiro Okuyama (1907 - 1981). Gihachiro Okuyama (also: Okayama) was a really prolific Japanese print artist who began his career making woodblock prints, however later on moved on to posters and ads. I tried to recreate the hand lettering in the initial 1937 Nikke Coat poster, however since I had to deal with a few glyphs just, I designed the staying ones myself.
The overview of Aeronic is rather thin, with thicker bits in some glyphs. It is rather rough in locations, but everything includes to its distinct appearance. Aeronic features a gold mine of diacritics.
