MaylettAlbireo is a typeface for those times when you have more to state than space to state it in. It also looks wonderful spread out across the page as though area does not matter.
Expertly crafted with a high level of attention to information, Albireo is an immensely practical and flexible typeface that's neutral enough to be utilized nearly anywhere an extremely condensed, sans-serif face is needed. Regardless of its down-to-earth performance, this is a typeface that definitely isn't doing not have in style. It actually shines when utilized for headlines or subheadings in publications, sales brochures, posters, newspapers, flyers or on the internet.
With 42 weights, widths and italics, there suffices versatility to make every word fit completely. Purchase the entire collection and, in addition to the 42 different font styles, you'll receive two variable font styles (upright and italic) that cover all the weights, widths and whatever in between.
So where does the name come from? Well, look upwards in the evening. Albireo is a binary star in the constellation Cygnus. Through a backyard telescope, Albireo (the star) deals with into two brilliant part stars-- one orange and one blue. The starts of the typeface were the outcome of me needing a newspaper feature headline about space expedition. I couldn't find the best typeface, so I drew my own letters and ultimately broadened it out into a whole mega-family. Given its origins, calling it after my preferred star appeared totally appropriate.
