Aldus Nova was created by Hermann Zapf, Akira Kobayashi and published by Linotype. Aldus Nova consists of 4 styles and household plan choices. p > Hermann Zapf and Akira Kobayashi redeveloped Palatino for the 21st Century, developing Palatino nova. The Palatino nova household also consists of modified variations of Aldus (now called Aldus nova).

A strong weight is included into the typeface household. The character set assistance is similar to Palatino nova, however Greek and Cyrillic are not readily available in book weight fonts.
