Designed by Missy Meyer, Alimentary is a display screen sans font household. This typeface has four styles and was released by Missy Meyer.

Alimentary (adjective): relating to nourishment or sustenance. If you have actually seen my other typefaces, you understand I tend to lean into food-based names. This name has to do with food and science integrated, so it's double nerdy in the ways I like to be nerdy!

I started with Alimentary Medium, which was influenced by my shorter, broader font MacGuffin - I wanted something taller, narrower, with a hip and retro feel. When I ended up the Medium weight, I seemed like I desired a Light weight. Then a Heavy weight. Then I figured, "what the heck," and made a summary variation of the Medium weight too.

In completion, I wound up with 4 members of the Alimentary family, each with over 700 glyphs! Not only do they all have the essentials (A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and lots of punctuation), but they likewise each have 330 characters for European language assistance, and a limited selection of Greek, Coptic, and Cyrillic characters. Plus a double handful of alternates and ligatures to add a little range to your designs!

And of course, all of the Alimentary typefaces are super-smoothed, with decreased nodes and clean curves, so whether you're cutting them out, printing them, etching them, or utilizing them in a way I have not even thought about, these font styles will be sharp and crisp!
