Some experimentally-minded designers have proposed unicase typefaces too: rather than having 2 different types for a given letter, unicase font styles have one, chosen from the upper- or lowercase forms.

Ambicase Modern takes the next step, offering not 'either/or', but rather 'both/and'. Each letter in Ambicase Modern is a mix of its traditional upper- and lowercase types, in a modern (didone) style. The innovative, hybrid types that result are intriguing and handsome.

Ambicase Modern stands apart as a thoroughly crafted experimental typeface: its eccentric types do not impede its readability. It appropriates for high-style screen settings.

Ambicase Modern provides a large character set and substantial OpenType functions. Most especially, in contemporary OpenType-aware applications, Ambicase Modern can be embeded in swash mode, which features sophisticated decorative flourishes that vary depending upon whether the letter is at the start, middle, or end of a word.

Ambicase Modern is offered in two optical sizes: Routine and Poster. At really big sizes, the Poster cut, with its finer details, is advised. For an extra strong variation, see its sibling typeface, Ambicase Fatface.
