Andes, designed by Daniel Hernández, is a screen typeface that has neo-humanist attributes. Its various terminals, to name a few aspects, give it a look of blended typography. It makes up 8 versions, ranging from Thin to Black, each of the same x-height. This typeface contains extra italic glyphs (a, y, z, g) that assist to stress text or words.
Andes is based upon the style of Merced and both of them share a number of features.
This type is appropriate for use in retail, magazines, logotypes, books, etc.
