The titles struck me as good-looking-- the titles and captions and location labels on a page I have of Henri Abraham Chatelain's "Atlas Historique." I 'd currently modeled Antiquarian Scribe after the cool, inclined penmanship used in the body text of Chatelain's well-known vintage atlas; now I felt forced to digitize this readable roman handlettering, too. The letterforms are strong and good-looking. They've got a particular deft, organic character. A personality. I can't completely discuss it. However this antique alphabet appears ideal for numerous applications. Antiquarian is a full-featured font style that works well with Antiquarian Scribe. OpenType functions include real small caps, numerous ligatures, Central/Eastern European and Greek alphabets, and numerous distinctive cartographic ornaments.
