Historical Art Deco typestyle finds new legs as a Revival
Artisinal, not to be puzzled with the term artisanal, is our revival of the Art Deco typeface understood as Cubist Bold, by John W. Zimmerman for Barnhardt Bros. & & Spindler in 1929, revives a traditional. The original metal cast typeface was developed without a lowercase, as well as some wedge serif capitals that made for not constantly best pairings.
We've created a lowercase that mixes well with the initial design to give the typeface more use. We've likewise developed a totally sans variation of the capitals as the default set, and moved the initial wedge serif capital styles to a contextual alternates feature. We've likewise produced a couple of stylistic alternates for lowercase characters like the u and y and their accented styles.
