Arturo is a sans serif family designed by Francesco Canovaro as part of his research in the digital reinvention of handcrafted brush lettering.
Marrying a fun, spirited method to letterforms to the adaptability of a text household with multiple weights and advanced functions, Arturo is available in seven weights with matching italics, and sports a wide array of OpenType features including stylistic alternates, small caps and discretionary ligatures (offering alternatives for display usage and fine-tuning in logo design) in addition to more unique functions as ordinals, superior and inferior characters, tabular, lining and oldstyle figures and OpenType-generated portions.
The household is complemented with an outline version that can be utilized by itself or together with the heavy weight for multilayer color typeface inventions.
