Ballet Mechanique is a customized designed typeface for musician Jeroen Borrenbergs, aka Ballet Mechanique. For his upcoming record releases Jeroen asked me to create an unique typeface for him. As co-founder and graphic designer at Stoere Binken Style he develops his own artwork and therefor had very specific desires. The font ought to be warm, soft and have soul. He provided me some sketches for his logo design that I must use as a beginning point. The outcome is a very narrow, sort of techno, monocased typeface called "Ballet Mechanique" (what else).

After having served his function, Jeroen Borrenbergs enabled his font to be sold publicly.

Jeroen Borrenberg's debut work, in 1996, got extremely applauding evaluations. Muzik Publication made Evolutionary Entities techno single of the month, Laurent Garnier and Mister C continuously played it in their sets and Morgan Geist just said "I won't do an evaluation here - let me just encourage all of y' all to listen to and/or choose up the new Eevolute 12 ″. Lovely stuff - complex, melodic, taken in just sufficient reverb to take it to another space. Inspect or regret."
