Ballinger Mono was created by Max Phillips and published by Signal. Ballinger Mono contains 8 styles and family plan alternatives. p > The addition of a monospaced version returns the Ballinger household to (some of) its roots: a 70s-era typewriter face called Candia, which Josef Müller-Brockmann created for Olivetti. Ballinger Mono is developed on the same principles as its sis face: plain, durable forms with large counters, open apertures, deep junctures, and a generous x-height. It matches Ballinger's eight weights, that makes it uncommonly versatile for a fixed-width face, and has actually been thoroughly rebalanced for ease of reading, like the traditional jobbing sanses that inspired it. Oldstyle, inferior, and exceptional figures are available, as well as old-fashioned nut portions.
