Ballinger Mono is developed on the same principles as its sis face: plain, durable forms with large counters, open apertures, deep junctures, and a generous x-height. It matches Ballinger's eight weights, that makes it uncommonly versatile for a fixed-width face, and has actually been thoroughly rebalanced for ease of reading, like the traditional jobbing sanses that inspired it.
