Bardi is an initial typeface created for ParaType in 2004 by Armenian designer Manvel Shmavonyan. It is based on the lettering created in 1970s by impressive Armenian type designer Henrik Mnatsakanyan (1923-2001) of the very same name. In Armenian ‘‘ Bardi' ways ‘ Poplar'.
.It is an extra compressed ornamental stenciled typeface. Its letterforms resemble many Neo-Classicism extra compressed faces and magazine lettering of the 1950s-60s.
