It is motivated by the lettering utilized in the Leslie Green designed stations of the London Underground and is as up to date today as it was the day those stations opened. The Beeching deals with (Routine, Vibrant, Small Capitals, Small Capitals Bold, Shadowed and Small Capitals Shadowed) are ideal for use in large scale signs that needs to be seen over long ranges. We feel the family provides a clear demonstration that traditional information, such as serifs and ligatures serve to boost legibility.
