Beeching is a family of 6 typefaces designed to integrate severe legibility with a tip of retrospective character. It is motivated by the lettering utilized in the Leslie Green developed stations of the London Underground and is as approximately date today as it was the day those stations opened. The Beeching faces (Regular, Strong, Little Capitals, Small Capitals Vibrant, Shadowed and Small Capitals Watched) are ideal for use in large scale signage that requires to be seen over fars away. We feel the family provides a clear demonstration that conventional details, such as serifs and ligatures serve to enhance legibility.
