Designed to be embeded in big, big and substantial sizes in timeless TNT (tight-not-touching) design, Benguiat Caslon is dynamite for a large variety of screen demands. We likewise included summary and drop-shadow versions along with various swash caps, ligatures, contextual alternates and automatically-shifting punctuation.
Ed Benguiat initially created this alphabet for the Photo-Lettering library throughout his period as the famous type home's art director. When we bought Photo-Lettering in 2003, among the first things we did was start choosing a few of our favorite movies to digitize as typefaces. Photo-Lettering partner Christian Schwartz chose this meaningful serif specimen for its high contrast strokes that withstand the most vigorous screen typography demands without withering versus pesky design constraints like screen resolution, ink spread and dot gain.
