Designed by David Bergsland, Biblia Serif is a serif typeface household. This typeface has 4 styles and was released by Hackberry Font style Foundry.

This all started with a love for Minister. This is a font created by Carl Albert Fahrenwaldt in 1929. In the specimen pamphlet there's a scan from Linotype's page many years back. They no longer bring the typeface. I've gone rather a methods from the initial. It was dark and a bit heavy. However I loved the look and the readability.

This came to a head when I began my first book on all-digital printing composed from 1994-1995, and released early in 1996. I required typefaces to reveal the typography I was discussing. At that point oldstyle figures, real small caps, and discretionary ligatures were unusual. More than that text font styles for book style had lining OR oldstyle figures, lowercase OR little caps-- never both.
So, I created the Diaconia household utilizing the Greek word for minister. It was relatively rough. I understood extremely little. I later revamped and upgraded Diaconia into Bergsland Pro-- released in 2004. It was still rough (though I impressed myself).

Now, with 4-font Biblia Serif family 13 years later on, I've cleaned up, made the fonts more consistent internally, added more functional OpenType features, and brought the font styles into the 21st century. I utilized the 2017 set of functions: little caps, small cap figures, oldstyle figures, portions, lining figures, ligatures and discretionary ligatures. These are typefaces developed for book production and work well for text or heads.

International support is limited, though I'll more than happy to add that if there is any demand.
