An original script typeface developed by Victor Kharyk and accredited by ParaType in 2006. Based Upon Ukrainian Skoropis (fast handwriting) of 16-17th centuries. The font style was named after Ukrainian Getman Bogdan Khmelnitsky, since the primary sources and motivations for the project were taken from collection of handwriting Universals (decrees) of that time—— the middle of 17th century. The shape of letters mimics flat nib quill handwriting with stress, bringing them casual vigor. Bogdan font character set includes Cyrillic, Old Slavonic, Glagolitic, Latin and Greek alphabets in 2 versions: Rejestrowy (Regular) and Siczowy (Alternate). The typeface is for usage in display typography, however can work quite well for short text setting. Bogdan type is well fit for historical and cultural texts associated with Europe of 15-17th centuries
