Bona Nova was developed by Mateusz Machalski, Andrzej Heidrich and released by Borutta Group. Bona Nova contains 9 styles and family package options. p > ☞ Bona Nova is a cumulative revival job of Bona typeface developed in 1971 by the author of polish banknotes Andrzej Heidrich. Besides giving the task a digital font style form the goal was to broaden the base character set: preparation of little caps, creating the alternative glyphs and numerous opentype features. Interacting with the author we designed two new text versions: routine and vibrant-- to offer the household a kind of a traditional script triad. ☞ It is accompanied by 3 title variations and three contour styles under the name of Bona Sforza. All styles contains over 1200 glyphs.

☞ Bona Nova is an unmatched typographic adventure for our team. We hope that our work will permit the cultural heritage of Bona and the work of Andrzeja Heidricha to get brand-new fans and fans. This project connected three generations of graphic designers who graduated the exact same school-- the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.

☞ Bona Nova isn't only a typeface. We have also prepared a book about the job (including an interview with Andrzej Heidrich, my text about the digitalisation and a font specimen). The Bona Nova release celebration was a huge exhibition (over 1000 visitors). I've welcomed 26 graphic designers to prepare their own initials of Bona Nova-- they existed as posters on exhibition too.
