Bonnycastle is a historic font style published by 3 Islands Press.

Sir Richard Henry Bonnycastle (1791-- 1847) was an English officer and military engineer who served in the War of 1812 and ultimately settled in Canada. I came across copies of some of his charts and maps, ended up being fixated with the hand-lettered titles-- and the result is the eponymous Bonnycastle.

The font style has a strong weight and an italic design however is planned as a stylish standalone, evocative of its duration in history. The 4th member of our Old Map Typefaces collection, Bonnycastle may show most useful as an appealing entitling face on branding products, occasion posters, book covers, presentation graphics, historic illustrations, and the like.
