Developed by David Bergsland, Bookish is a slab serif typeface family. This typeface has 4 styles and was published by Hackberry Font style Foundry.

This all started with a love for Jenson. Plus, I wanted a readable slab serif for my book design work in InDesign CC

I know there're numerous variations a that theme. But, that is where I started, a number of years earlier. How far it came, as typical, as I roamed through the vagaries of typeface design, is not unusual. If you've read any of my typeface design books, you know my design procedures are quite loose and spontaneous.

I wanted the basic feel of a preferred old typeface, however softer, easier, and more comfy. I built theses on the same vertical metrics as my Librum Publishing Group. However, this household is not part of that group. I utilized the metrics since that reveals my existing taste in fonts.

This household does work with the Librum group-- specifically as a header buddy of Librum and LibrumE.
