Boxy Code was created by Randy Harris and published by Simply My Type. Boxy Code contains 1 style. p > In the late 60's, one of the finest art publications in the nation was Motive publication, released (exceptionally) by the United Methodist Church. Filled to the brim with poetry, essays, line drawing and woodcuts, it likewise included some advanced typography. Boxy/Code is based upon my memories of woodcut typography from that fantastic magazine. Given that Boxy/Code's lowercase consists of the uppercase's negative spaces, it's easy to integrate the two with Layer Designs in Photoshop in order to accomplish the effect I used in one poster above. It also works terrific if you use a popular text as a background. This new variation is totally redrawn and features all the Latin-accented letters. Uppercase consists of black capitals in boxes; lowercase functions the negative areas of those boxed capitals. Uppercase and lowercase line up exactly for 2-color results.
