Brown Gothic is a compact sans serif face, with rounder letterforms than the normal condensed grotesques such as Helvetica, Univers, et al.

It has a hardly noticeable "upsetting", which is somewhat less perceptible in the Bonus Bold typefaces (they also set tighter and are planned for use at large sizes). The impact matches ShinnType's Worldwide and Walburn.

Its letter kinds are modernist, more like Helvetica or Univers than Franklin Gothic or Bureau Grotesque. But with its subtle finish, Brown avoids the reductive quality of 20th Century modernism.

The figures have proportional widths.
