The inspiration came throughout our journey to Italy, where we took a brief rest in a bar throughout a hot day. We found an easy ceramic ashtray on the table. The word "Nido" was inscribed in a typeface that appeared like it went back to the 1950s. We made some investigations about the word, its significance and origin however it still remains a huge mystery. Was it the name of a hotel or a restaurant or some classic Italian cigarettes? We do not know. We were so amazed about the design of the logo design that we chose to produce a typeface out of it. An advanced venture because we just had four letters. How could the rest of the letters-- if it ever existed-- have looked like? Our hypothesis is CA Capoli. A typeface with a complete Main European character set and some great alternative letters to picked from.

When we believed about "Nido" and its possible derivation of hotel organization, we seemed like producing a small side project for this typeface, a brand name for an imaginary hotel called Hotel Capoli with company cards, letterheads, a reception book, essential fobs and embroidered spots for the service dress of the hotel service things. The Hotel Capoli is situated at the terrific beach of Cape Arcona on the imaginary nation of Arcona Islands where our type foundry is situated.
