Cabazon is a blackletter font published by Parkinson Type Design.

The small community of Cabazon lies in southern California on the western edge of the Mojave Desert. There are two huge cement dinosaurs in Cabazon. Perhaps you've seen them. They had a cameo in the motion picture "PeeWee's Huge Adventure."

Cabazon, the typeface, is an informal blackletter motivated by handlettering samples from numerous sources, and numerous time periods. Functions by Rudolf Koch and Friedrich Heinrichsen are shown, along with the work of showcard lettering artists Ross Gerorge and Samuel Welo. Medieval manuscript samples were also valuable in developing this style.

It was created in 2005 by Jim Parkinson. Originally released as a Type 1 typeface, Cabazon was revitalized (version2) and re-released as simple Open Key in 2012.
