Cadmus Pro is the newly remastered and significantly expanded variation of a Jim Rimmer design based on a type originally done by hand lettering artist Robert Foster. Foster's type, named Perciles, was published by ATF in the 1930s, and used in lettering publications and advertising headings. The design is based carefully on early inscriptional Greek.
Cadmus Pro features over 1130 glyphs, covering quite much all Latin languages (consisting of Vietnamese) as well as Cyrillic, Greek and Hebrew. OpenType functions consist of stylistic alternates, automated portions, ordinals, and little figure varieties for superiors and inferiors.
Proceeds from this typeface will be put towards a variety of Canadian typography education causes.
