Coffee shop Society JNL consists of 2 designs and family plan alternatives. p > Classic sheet music was at first a partial inspiration for what began as an easy retro typeface, but the standard hand-lettered style from the Art Deco period provided itself to some additional experimentation.

Geometric shapes were added to the initial monoline letters and characters and the end result was a marvelous display screen face called Cafe Society JNL.

During the 1930s, 'Cafe Society' was popular slang for the financially fortunate throughout the Great Depression who dined at great coffee shops while others who had the ability to consume out did so at diners and cafeterias.
