The Chikita style is rooted in the work of 1930s Dutch lettering artist Martin Meÿer, whose little-known work worried itself with the appeal of letters primarily as specific types, rather than part of a flowing alphabet. Chikita was reconceptualized to strike a terrific balance between singular and flowing appeals, resulting in a cheerful and extremely memorable expression.
Chikita is available in all popular typeface formats, and the character sets cover a large range of codepages, including Central and Eastern European languages, Esperanto, Turkish, Baltic, Celtic/Welsh and Vietnamese.
