Created by David Kerkhoff, Coal Brush is a grunge and hand display font household. This typeface has two designs and was published by Hanoded.

Coal Brush is a little bit of a misleading name. It looks as though it was made with a brush, however it was, in fact, made with a practically dried out old marker pen. But a font style called 'dried out old marker pen' doesn't truly fly, so I decided to pimp the name. There you have it, you can't even trust an honest typographer!

Marker pen or brush, Coal Brush is a very sweet little font style. It is all caps, but upper and lower case vary and can be combined easily. Plus there's a concealed stash of alternates for the lower case letters and an alternate ampersand! I actually tossed that in to make up for my lie.

So, use it for your books, your posters, your rap albums, rock operas, grilled food restaurants and designer BBQ sauces. It's yours for the taking!
