Like a muscle automobile from decades back, Colt intends to stabilize unbridled power and skill. The wide letterforms arose out of a love for type found on automobile made in the sixties. As the typeface took shape, the characters made use of the Clarendon style with attention to its ball terminals to anchor the design.
