Columbia Entitling is a titling-caps screen household based upon wide Clarendon-style wood type and commercial signage style from the late-19th and early-20th Century.
Columbia Titling consists of a little set of OpenType functions, consisting of both tabular and proportional figures, unique superscript ordinal suffixes, highlighted superscript alternate letters, and OpenType fractions. Columbia Titling can have a 'period feel' depending upon its use, but is fresh enough to use in modern designs, like magazine headings, invitations, or stationery.
The typeface-- released in 4 weights-- takes its name from the historic SS Columbia, a steamboat launched in 1903. Lettering discovered on the ship's wheelhouse supplied initial motivation for Columbia Titling.
