Cruickshank ML was created by William Jackson and released by HiH. Cruickshank ML contains 1 style. p > Cruickshank is an ornamental typeface from the late Victorian duration. The upper case consists of several letters with swash strokes, extending well listed below the standard, as discovered in the initial design. Alternatives to the swash caps are provided. The lower case consists of little caps of simpler style.

The face was created by William W. Jackson and launched by MacKellar, Smiths and Jordan Type Foundry of Samson Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1886. MS&J was founded originally as Binny & & Ronaldson in 1796 and later referred to as The Johnson Type Foundry. Cruickshank has a strong late Victorian taste without the luxury of many font styles of the duration. In its simpleness and clearness, it may be viewed as a precursor to the Art Nouveau style that would develop a years later on.
