D Sert-- based upon the Pirata typeface-- is influenced by 70s Chilean constructivist design and the political propaganda posters artwork of La Unidad Popular (Chilean political union). D Sert is the outcome of the mix of the Chilean graphic art revival with new patterns, such as the handcrafted motion and very font style families.
The very household consists of 47 weights and features 2 versions: D Sert and D Sert Alt, plus additionals. Diagonal strokes are substantially different between the two versions: diagonals of the Alt variation are a lot more logical than the diagonals of the typical variation. Another distinction is the bowls of the capitals: in the D Sert variation, they somewhat task above the cap height, making it a more bold version and bringing it closer to calligraphy; contrarily, in the Alt variation, bowls do not project above the cap height, that makes it a more neat typeface. By doing this, the mix of the 2 versions and extras provides the user with the freedom to produce any type of artwork.
