Bold is a display screen serif and art nouveau typeface published by preussTYPE.

Daring was created as Childs by Hermann Ihlenburg in 1897 for MacKellar, Smiths and Jordan, one of many type houses that were integrated into American Type Creators (ATF) later on that year.

With its apparent 19th-century characteristics - swirls, loops, and surprising letter shapes - Daring is a natural for display screen circumstances that require high drama.

Daring/Childs proved to be among the more popular and long-lasting of the American-designed Art Nouveau show faces of the period, appearing often in advertisements in different publications. For this digital version, the character set has been broadened to include alternates, accented characters, punctuation and currency symbols.
