Created by Keith Bates, Deansgate is a sans serif typeface family. This typeface has twelve designs and was released by K-Type.

Deansgate and Deansgate Condensed are based upon the clearest and most distinct of the sans-serif letterforms used on Manchester street nameplates, and easily determined by a pointy Z and pointed vertex/apex on M and W.

The Bold weights of each household are perfect for signage, with practically monoweight strokes created for easy reading, close up or at range, and with the understandable, a little ‘‘ squarified' round shapes typically related to grotesque faces. The brand-new lowercase ideas the hat to the Transport typefaces, and the Regular and Light weights transfer the clarity of the Strong faces to Deansgate's text font styles which are ideal for usage online or in print. Each weight has a complementary Italic.
