Designed by Eleonora Lana, Delfino is a sans serif typeface family. This typeface has eighteen designs and was released by Letritas.

Delfino is a "friendly" sans-serif typography created by Eleonora Lana and the Letritas team. The shape of Delfino was produced based on sketches that took care of bring the principle of generosity as far as possible, keeping constantly in mind the readability and performance of the font.

In the stage of brainstorming, the team started listing things that were friendly to the touch or sight, such as a candy gum, or marshmallow, to end up being acquainted with the designated goal.

Although gradually, as the letters were being created, the things associated with the forms were not acceptable, given that when forming words an unique personality of its own appeared.

By reconceptualizing whatever, the personality of the letter the team desired to work with had actually to be redefined.

Thus it went from "caramel" to "teddy bear", from "teddy bear" to "puppy" and from "pup" to "dolphin". Dolphin was a sound idea: friendly, smart, social. Once the concept was nailed, the style of stylish and "soft" shapes started. Practically chewable, almost huggable, as if composing words was a game.

Delfino has an inclined variation with "genuine italics". These italics are slightly more condensed than the regular version, in order to give it a different text texture.

The typeface has 9 weights, varying from "thin" to "heavy", and two versions: "routine" and "italic". Its 18 files contain 729 characters with ligatures, alternates, little caps, oldstyle and tabular numbers, fractions, case sensitive, and unicase figures.
