Demo is a flat-sided, technoid-style sans serif household. It has 10 fonts on deal; that's 5 various weights, each with a buddy italic. The italics are truly obliques, differentiating themselves from texts set with the upright fonts by their slant. Nevertheless, rather than calling the italic font styles 'inclined' versions of
Demo's upright typefaces, we should rather state that
Demonstration's upright fonts are 'straightened-up italics'. Much of the letter construction in the
Demo typeface is actually italic, implying that it is inspired by handwriting. And this regardless of its being a sans serif with a nearly futuristic look. The 'a' and 'g' in
Demonstration are both single-storey, but the mix of curves and corners in these two letters is best out of a 16th-century Italian chancery. The other significant feature of
Demo is the strong mono-linearity present in all 10 of the fonts.
Demo's letters do not include any noticeable stroke contrast:
Demonstration's lowercase has a really tall x-height, and the capital letters are compact (the lowercase's ascender strokes increase above the caps rather).
Demo does not need to be limited to use in display screen sizes just; its lighter weights might be utilized to set much shorter passages of body copy, too.
Demo was developed by Aarya Purohit and the Indian Type Foundry (ITF).
