Digitalis was developed from a desire to make an initial, æsthetically pleasing rounded typeface utilizing the minimum of strokes. As an outcome each character has been reduced to just the most important elements.

Due to the contrast between the thick and thin strokes Digitalis is remarkably readable when set as text. Contrasts appear to abound in Digitalis; at very first sight it discovers as an ultra modern, almost futuristic font style and yet it maintains a friendly, rounded appearance loaded with curves.
