DIN Next Decorative was developed by Akira Kobayashi, Monotype Studio and released by Monotype. DIN Next Decorative consists of 12 designs and family plan alternatives. p > This four-piece family is the DIN style, but not as you understand it. The notoriously, crisp, clean and exact typeface has been given a textured upgrade that's similar to rusted metal, or rubber stamps. Beneath this lies the same durable, geometric shapes that have actually enabled DIN to stand the test of time, however with a brand-new sense of tangibility.

" This kind of treatment is more about developing a sensation or a state of mind that goes beyond the communication of the words themselves," discusses Monotype Studio director Tom Rickner. "I believe it expands the collection of what DIN Next can express."

Designed for display, these four typefaces-- DIN Next Rust, DIN Next Shadow, DIN Next Piece Rust and DIN Next Stencil Rust-- reveal a new side of DIN Next's character, as if the surface area of each letterform has been slowly deteriorated throughout the years.
