Dom was designed by Peter Dombrezian for American Type Creators in 1951-- 52. It is an informal unjoined script typeface that looks brushwritten. Its letters are practically monotone, freely or delicately drawn. Vertical strokes of them have irregular ending at various heights, and oval axis have slightly various slopes. This typeface is to develop a friendly, informal look in signs, marketing, and invitations. The Cyrillic variation of the Bitstream digital font was established by Dmitry Kirsanov for ParaType in 2008
