Created as a logo design typeface in 2004 by Francesco Canovaro, Duepuntozero is one of Zetafonts classic typefaces. A monolinear sans serif typeface with rounded corners and condensed percentages, strictly based upon modular geometric design, it was at first developed in five weights to be used as a condensed companion typeface to the rounded display family Arista. In 2019 the family was entirely redesigned by the Zetafonts Group, expanding the initial character set to include cyrillic and greek glyphs and including four additional weights and italics to the initial weight variety. This brought back and revamped variation, called Duepuntozero Pro, also consists of full Open Type features for positional figures, portions and Little Caps.
With his rounded, minimal aesthetic, Duepuntozero embodies the desire for semplicity and playfulness of contemporary mobile applications, making it a perfect option for gaming and app interface style. Its compact design enable for maximum area conserving on mobile screens when used as a text typeface, while the strictly geometric style and the extreme series of weights (consisting of thin and black) make it master display screen, logo design and editorial use.
