Despite the geometric and techno feel of the initial roman version, the cursive version is heavily affected by conventional Finnish weaving and folk art!

The contradiction is taken further by inclusion of such classical functions as little capitals and lower case figures, generally found in slightly more standard fonts.

Base Mono family fits lots of editorial, corporate identity and logotype jobs. It can even be used for setting text such as captions and headings.
