Eldridge is reminiscent of the sort of clear functional slabserif that was typically to be seen in the 19th century. It is the plainer cousin of our Bamberforth household and the two partner together really well-Bamberforth for the eyecatching hedines and Eldridge for the essential assistance. It is another new face, which harks straight back to Victorian times and, as such, is ideal for giving anything a 19th century feel-especially posters, book headings, dust jackets and invitations.
