Although the type style probably has its roots in the traditional Bodoni, there were a couple of characters in the original wood type that had a little a square or block shape to them. Those characters were customized in order to keep with the general roundness of the other characters.

The name Elida JNL originates from a village in New Mexico. Offered in six styles: Routine, Oblique, Bonus Condensed, Bonus Condensed Oblique, Ultra Condensed and Mega Condensed.
